Set along the serene shores of Nattika Beach in Thrissur, Kerala, the Nattika Beach Ayurveda Resort is a renowned wellness retreat rooted in the principles of authentic Ayurveda and holistic healing. Surrounded by expansive landscaped gardens and the pristine Arabian Sea coastline, the resort offers a tranquil environment for rejuvenation through Ayurveda and Yoga.

The project involved the renovation of guest rooms, consultation rooms, the nursing station, and the pharmacy—with a focus on enhancing spatial comfort while preserving the retreat’s traditional ethos. The redesigned room layouts emphasize openness, functionality, and a seamless flow between rest and healing spaces.

Material selection played a pivotal role in reinforcing the resort’s identity. Wooden furniture crafted with simple, timeless detailing complements clay tile flooring, while Marazzi tiles define the bathrooms with durability and elegance. Basalt stone accents introduce texture and grounding elements to the interiors. Wall paneling paired with carefully selected fabrics, loose cushions, and warm lighting fixtures—including wall lights and table lamps—create a calming and intimate ambiance.

Traditional aesthetic paintings and handcrafted details further root the spaces in Kerala’s cultural narrative, ensuring that the renovation elevates comfort without diluting authenticity. The intervention balances contemporary refinement with vernacular warmth, strengthening the resort’s position as a holistic healing destination.
