The design ethos of the Avani Resort is reflective of the traditional practices that find their existence in a contemporary context reimagined. A resort cum centre for Naturopathy, this hospitality venue is located in the picturesque hill station of Sakleshpur, Karnataka. With bountiful rains and a verdant landscape gracing the site, the master plan of the resort was created in tandem with the thought of allowing the surroundings and natural context to assume the spotlight. Preserving the environment that hosts the site, the design intent focuses on allowing the built structure to converse with nature seamlessly.

The public and shared common spaces are expansive and open in their layouts, creating a colossal entrance into the premises. The cottages for guests on the property are distributed in a sparse manner across the site, thereby creating a sense of privacy and tranquility to further strengthen the healing practices of Naturotherapy. The earthy and rooted natural palette of materials enhances the grounded demeanor of the venue and promotes an atmosphere of wellbeing for the patrons.
