FLU’TER :

The concept of ‘serendipity’ is what the design intent of Flu’ter aims to explore and harness in an intrinsic manner. The site finds itself nestled in the lush landscape and coffee plantations of Coorg, Karnataka; the pristine greenery and a gurgling river traversing the site’s premises only add to the natural charm of this hospitality project. The design intervention at Flu’ter is restrained yet impactful, turning site vignettes into tangible memories for each patron that finds themselves immersed in the milieu. The nuances of traditional vernacular architecture find their way into the design fabric, taking inspiration from Coorg’s exaggerated gabled roofs and adobe material construction.

The master plan comprises clusters of tents and villas that have been located strategically in clearings while melding seamlessly with the landscape. The tents have been placed in one such clearing by the streamlet; they have been clustered in a way to promote interaction amidst the guests while keeping the factor of privacy intact.

The light structure is the epitome of geometric finesse; it sits weightlessly with its streamlined silhouette upon stilts to reveal the ground. The split-level plan of each unit ensures privacy for resting areas and boundless views of the vistas. The employment of sustainable materials and energy-efficient design adds to the purpose of the built environment.
