Zenya

Tucked within the bounds of the commercial urban fabric, Zenya channels an opulent twist in design interventions. The 1700 sq m suite and restaurant cater to a wide range of visitors. Upon entering the premise, one is greeted by an expansive foyer flanked by the lounge and all day dine-in on either side.

The underlying restrained material palette of whites and brown is broken by metal strips and green pops throughout the interior spaces. Immediately witnessed in the lobby space, the wooden ceiling takes centre stage. The tall fabric chandelier in the restaurant elevates the overall spatial arrangement. To further accentuate the expanse of the dine-in, drop-down planter boxes double up as lighting fixtures in combination with linear wall panels alternated with metal inserts. Moving upwards, there is a typical arrangement of standard and double rooms for three floors. Each room is doused in brown tones of wood broken by strips of green marble and ribbed panels below.

Pockets of landscape offer the required respite from the built mass that is carefully reflected in the pop of greens in the interior spaces. The roof-top terrace houses a fine-dine, gym and conference room. A seamless wooden ceiling reveals its sense of space, while seating is strategically allocated with the bar on one end. The main bar adorns a dark hue of materials and features a drop-down light fixture softened by layers of ribbed glass. At the further end, the outdoor terrace is designed for thermal comfort through light wooden screens and focuses on an inward looking approach with landscape on all sides.
