The Taliesyn Studio in Bengaluru is a quiet reflection of the practice’s design ideology—one that fosters creation, collaboration.Rooted in minimalism, the studio is conceived as a fluid, open environment that encourages dialogue and unconventiona l studio culture.
Located in South Bengaluru and spread across 2400 sq ft, the design responds to existing foliage through biophilic strategies and vernacular cues. Organised around a central court, the two-storey studio and material library are arranged a long intersecting axes, balancing openness with varying degrees of privacy. Blurring the boundary between built and open spaces, the studio is anchored by an exposed structural framework, semi-circular arches, and a layered material palette of terracotta b locks, cement panels, and metal sections that enable porosity, daylight, and cross-ventilation.
Internally, staggered volumes enhance visual connectivity across levels, reinforcing collaborative learning. A double-height workspace, mezzanine discussion are a, and a sculptural sage-green metal staircase form the spatial core. The upper level houses private work and meeting areas without complete separation, maintaining visual dialogue throughout. Sustainable choices—including recycled terrazzo flooring, on-site crafted furniture, and rooftop solar panels—underscore the studio’s commitment to responsible design
